🌊 Five Years of Wavy: Riding Every Wave Together

If you had told me five years ago that I’d be here writing a blog post about Wavy Boutique turning five, I probably would’ve laughed, cried, and then immediately asked, “HOW?!”

Because honestly...this has been one wild ride.

When Wavy started, the dream was simple. I wanted to create a space where women could shop pieces that felt effortless, coastal, and true to themselves. But what’s unfolded has been so much bigger - moves across states, military life curveballs, learning the ropes of running a business, and a whole lot of trial and error.

There were late nights when I wondered if this little dream would ever grow, mornings when boxes stacked taller than me felt impossible, and seasons when life (and inventory) didn’t go as planned. There were also moments that felt truly out of this world - first-time customers turning into forever friends, the rush of a launch that sells out, and the steady encouragement from you - the wavy crew - that kept me paddling forward when the waves felt heavy.

The Ups, the Downs, the Currents in Between

Wavy has moved with me through new houses, new routines, and new seasons of family life. It’s been packed between soccer games, military send offs, and “mom, where’s my shoes?!” mornings. It’s been woven into both my biggest goals and my biggest unknowns.

And yet, every single time life shifted, Wavy found a way to shift with me. That’s the beauty of a wave. It doesn’t stop, it just changes form.

What I’ve Learned (& keep learning):

The biggest lesson of these five years? That running a boutique isn’t really about clothes. It’s about connection. About building something that makes women feel a little lighter, a little more confident, and a lot more seen. It’s about community. And this community is something I could never have imagined in those first messy months, but I’m so grateful to be here now, surrounded by it.

What’s Next

As Wavy sails into year six & beyond, my heart is on creating even more moments that matter - for you, for me, for all of us. Pieces that feel like sunshine. Collections that remind you of salt air & ways to grow this dream without losing that personal touch.
